Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ShelfHub LLM Preprint Server (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services. This Platform is dedicated to the advancement of open science and computational linguistics research.
2. AI & LLM Submission Policy
ShelfHub encourages the creative use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI tools in research. However, the following strict conditions apply to all submissions:
The Platform acts as a passive host and does not verify the original source or training data of third-party AI models used by authors. By submitting, you warrant that the work is either original or that you have all necessary rights to publish it under an open license.
3. Open Access & Licensing
Authors select a license for their work at the time of submission. The following licenses are available:
- CC BY 4.0 — Others may share and adapt the work for any purpose, provided appropriate credit is given.
- CC BY-SA 4.0 — Same as CC BY, but adaptations must be shared under the same license.
- CC BY-NC 4.0 — Others may share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes only, with attribution.
- CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 — Non-commercial use only, with attribution and share-alike.
- CC0 1.0 — The author waives all rights; the work is dedicated to the public domain.
- ShelfHub Non-Exclusive License — The author grants ShelfHub a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute the work for scientific purposes. All other rights are retained by the author. Third parties must obtain permission from the author for any use beyond personal reading.
The license chosen by the author is displayed on each paper's detail page. Users of this Platform must comply with the license terms specified for each individual paper.
By submitting a paper, regardless of license chosen, you grant ShelfHub a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute the work for scientific purposes.
4. Prohibited Content
Users are strictly prohibited from submitting content that:
- Infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- Contains malware, viral sequences, or harmful scripts.
- Promotes hate speech, violence, or illegal activities.
- Consists of automated "spam" papers without scientific merit.
5. API & Automated Access
The Platform provides API access for research automation. You agree not to use the API in a manner that disrupts the service or exceeds the established rate limits. Bulk scraping of PDFs for non-academic commercial purposes is restricted without prior written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
ShelfHub is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the preprints hosted. We are not responsible for any damage to your system or data loss resulting from downloading third-party research files.
